Dutch club PSV Eindhoven has rejected an official offer from English club Fulham to sign United States national team striker Ricardo Pepi. The offer was reportedly worth around £26 million (equivalent to €30 million / $35 million), according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to The Athletic.

The sources explained that Eindhoven's management does not believe the current offer meets their financial ambitions, as they remain keen on retaining the player, who is considered one of the key elements in the attack this season.

The same sources added that Fulham intends to return with an improved offer in the coming period, in an attempt to convince the Dutch club to complete the deal, especially as the coach is keen to strengthen the forward line with a young player who has high scoring potential.

Pepi has recorded impressive numbers with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven this season, participating in around 21 matches across all competitions, during which he scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists. In the Dutch league, he played 14 matches, scoring 7 goals and delivering one assist. Additionally, he featured in 5 UEFA Champions League matches, where he scored 3 goals and set up 2 others, confirming his value as an influential striker inside the penalty area.
