Crystal Palace Reaches Agreement with Tottenham to Sign Johnson
Sky Sports reported that Crystal Palace has reached a preliminary agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign their young winger, Bryan Johnson, for £35 million. However, the player has not yet made his final decision regarding the transfer.
Johnson joined Tottenham in the summer of 2023 from Nottingham Forest for £47.5 million and scored 27 goals in 107 matches across all competitions, including the winning goal in the Europa League final.
With Mohamed Kudus arriving last summer, Johnson's playing opportunities have diminished, as he has started only six Premier League matches this season under the new coach Thomas Frank.
Crystal Palace's interest in Johnson comes to compensate for the departure of some players and to strengthen the attacking front. Meanwhile, Bournemouth has also expressed a desire to sign the player to potentially replace Antoine Semenyo.
At Tottenham, they are looking to strengthen the team's attack to compensate for the possible departure of Johnson, while Dejan Kulusevski is still recovering from a knee injury sustained in May and will be able to play on the right wing once he returns.
