Al-Ittihad Considers the Return of Its Loaned Star in January
Officials at Al-Ittihad Saudi Club are seriously considering the option of bringing back midfielder Abdulilah Hosawi, who is currently on loan to Al-Taawoun, as the winter transfer window approaches at the beginning of next January.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the technical committee within Al-Ittihad Club is discussing the Hawsawi file, given the need to strengthen the team with ready players during the second half of the current season.
The newspaper explained that if the Al-Ittihad management decides to recall the player, they will open negotiations with Al-Taawoun club in the coming days to amicably terminate the loan.
Abdullah Al-Hosawi, 24 years old, transferred to Al-Taawoun in the summer of 2023 on a one-season loan, while his official contract with Al-Ittihad extends until June 2028.
Hawsawi has participated with Al-Taawoun in 8 matches this season, including 6 games in the Saudi Roshn League and 2 matches in the King’s Cup, successfully providing one assist.
This is the player's third loan spell in his career, having previously played for Jeddah between 2021 and 2023, then for Al Khaleej in the 2023-2024 season, before his current move to Al Taawoun.
Al-Ittihad's consideration of bringing Hawsawi back reflects the management's desire to strengthen the team's technical depth and to benefit from a player who is familiar with the club's environment and competitive demands.
