Zamalek Club revealed in an official statement the status of the team player Mahmoud Bentayek after his absence from team training sessions.

"Zamalek Club confirms that according to the regulations of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the Moroccan player Mahmoud Bentayek is still registered as a player within the first football team of the club."
The statement continued: "The club emphasizes that the player's contract is officially extended until the end of the 2027–2028 season, and he remains under the authority of the White Castle without any change in his contractual status."
Zamalek added in its statement: "The club has officially contacted the player to attend team training sessions after his absence without prior permission, taking all legal and administrative measures to preserve the club's rights, and applying the team's regulations according to the regulations in force at the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA)."
