The African Football Confederation Announces the Refereeing Team for Algeria vs. Burkina Faso Match
The African Football Confederation announced the refereeing team that will oversee the match between the Algerian national team and the Burkina Faso national team this Sunday evening, as part of the second round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
According to the official website of the African Union, Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Ayi Laria has been appointed to officiate the match, assisted by Zakhal Siwela from South Africa and Soro Fatsawan from Lesotho. The role of the fourth official has been assigned to Abongile Tom from South Africa.
At the level of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, the Kenyan referee Dickson Mimizya Nyagwa was selected, assisted by his compatriot Stephen Yambi, along with the Cameroonian referee Evarist Menkouanda.
The Algerian national team will face Burkina Faso this evening, Sunday, in the second round of the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The match will kick off at 8:30 PM Mecca time.
