A survey conducted by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Argentine striker Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid tops the list of players most desired by Barcelona fans to strengthen the team during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to the survey, which included 300 club members, Álvarez received 31.33% of the votes, leading by nearly 6% over Norwegian Erling Haaland, who came in second with 26%. This comes as Robert Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona is set to expire on June 30.

The newspaper pointed out that the surprise came with Chelsea's left-back Marc Cucurella ranking third with 12.33%, even though the question allowed only one choice regarding the player to be signed. This reflects Barcelona fans' desire not only to strengthen the striker position but also to reinforce the left-back position, especially since Cucurella is a La Masia graduate.

The survey also showed that the fourth option, not signing any player, received the most votes, indicating that a segment of the fans is satisfied with the current team lineup.

Despite the void left by Iñigo Martínez's departure in central defense, the newspaper indicated that signing a defender was only the fifth priority, with a 5.33% preference. The name mentioned was Nico Schlotterbeck, the 26-year-old Borussia Dortmund player.
