Malian Referee Boubou Traoré to Officiate Tunisia vs Nigeria Match

The refereeing committee of the African Football Confederation announced the appointment of Malian referee Boubou Traoré to officiate the match between the Tunisian national team and their Nigerian counterparts, as part of the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match will be held on Saturday, December 27th, at the sports complex in the city of Fez, starting at 11:00 PM, in an anticipated encounter as part of the Group 3 competition.

It was also decided to assign the task of supervising the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology to the Senegalese referee Issa Sy, as part of the officiating team responsible for managing the match.

The Tunisian and Nigerian national teams top Group C with an equal number of points, with Tunisia having the advantage due to goal difference, giving the match special significance in the battle for first place.

The Tunisian national team is scheduled to conclude its group stage journey by facing the Tanzanian team on Tuesday, December 30th, starting at 5:00 PM, in a match where they aim to confirm their rightful qualification to the next round.
