Al-Zawraa team suffered a heavy defeat against Saudi Al-Nassr with a score of 5-1, during the sixth and final round of the group stage in the AFC Champions League 2.

Despite the heavy loss, Al-Zawraa club succeeded in securing a place in the round of 16 of the tournament, thanks to the goal difference over their direct competitor, Tajikistan's Istiklol Dushanbe, who finished third.

This harsh defeat resulted from three decisive reasons that Egyptian coach Emad Al-Nahhas was unable to address, allowing Cristiano Ronaldo's teammates to successfully complete their mission with a perfect record.

From the very first minute of entering the field, Al-Zawraa was not in a normal state, as everyone was anxious as if something big was going to happen, just by seeing the starting lineup of the Saudi team.

Coach Emad Al-Nahhas, despite choosing the appropriate lineup and fielding the best available players, could not control the situation due to the confusion displayed by all Al-Zawraa players on the field.

Even Al-Zawraa's goalkeeper Jalal Hassan, who has international experience and serves as a motivator for his teammates, did not perform at the required level. While the team suffered from an offensive onslaught, they had no reaction except for the goal scored by Nigerian Ibrahim Tomiwa, which saved some face.

Also, statements made by team player Hassan Abdulkarim “Qoqia” had a significant impact on the match scenario, as Al-Nassr entered the game with full strength and complete seriousness, even though the match was a formality for them.

Qoqia, in the pre-match press conference, said that Ronaldo is the second-best player in the world after Lionel Messi, prompting Ronaldo’s teammates to respond on the field. The match became an opportunity for them to punish the star of Al-Nawaris for his remarks.

Al-Zawraa settled in second place with 9 points, earned from two wins over India's Goa and a win over Tajikistan's Istiklol Dushanbe, while losing twice to Al-Nassr and once to Istiklol.
