Saudi Federation Approves 16 New Amendments to the Disciplinary Regulations
Wednesday 24-12-2025
The Saudi Football Federation, chaired by Yasir Al-Meshaal, announced the approval of 16 new amendments to the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations, following an official circular sent to the clubs outlining the approved provisions.

The Football Association approved these changes as part of its efforts to modernize the legal framework, aiming to enhance fair competition and reinforce the principle of integrity within the competitions in the upcoming phase.

The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the majority of the amendments were administrative in nature, with additional technical modifications introduced following extensive discussions held in workshops between the clubs and the General Secretariat.

The newspaper explained that the number of amendments increased to 16 clauses, instead of just 8, which were the ones initially discussed during the workshops held last October.

Article 16, concerning "warnings," topped the list of the most notable changes, as it was decided that a player will be suspended after receiving 4 warnings instead of 3, in line with what is applied in the Roshn League and the Yelo League.

The amended regulations stipulate that a player is automatically suspended for one match upon receiving 4 yellow cards in different matches within the same competition under the home-and-away system.

The federation has also adopted a new unified form for submitting protests, rejecting any other forms, in addition to removing the word "by hand" from the text related to matches where there is no official observer present.
