Great Uncertainty Surrounding Al-Hamdan's Future with Al-Hilal.. What is the Next Destination?
Thursday 25-12-2025
Uncertainty is growing surrounding the fate of Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Al Hilal's forward, amid increasing reports of a possible departure during the winter transfer window, with Al-Nassr and Al-Diriyah showing interest in signing him.

Indicators suggest that Al-Hamdan is highly likely to leave Al-Hilal, as negotiations to renew his contract have reached a deadlock due to disagreements over financial terms and the length of the new contract.

Media reports reveal a surprising development regarding the player's contract, coinciding with the approach of the winter transfer window, which has reopened discussions about his future more broadly within the sports community.

The program "Malaeb" on Al Arabiya FM clarified that Abdullah Al-Hamdan's current contract expires in January, making him a free agent, contrary to previous reports that he would remain until the summer of 2026.

The same source indicates that the player had the right to negotiate with any club once he entered the free agency period, but his primary desire was to continue with Al-Hilal if a suitable agreement could be reached.

Al-Hamdan prefers to stay within the clubs of the Roshn Saudi League if he decides to leave, despite offers from lower-division clubs, in order to maintain his chances with the national team.

Attention is also turning to the possibility of his name being linked to the Hittin team, which is led by his father, Abdulrahman Al-Hamdan. However, the player is reluctant to move away from the Pro League at this stage.

Recent reports confirm that Al-Diriyah Club has entered into official negotiations, alongside Al-Nassr's interest. Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus has expressed his approval of signing Al-Hamdan, based on his knowledge of his abilities from his time coaching Al-Hilal.
