Kepa: This is What We Need to Improve, and I Didn't Lose Focus in the Penalty Shootout
Arsenal goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga appeared in a press statement after qualifying for the League Cup semi-finals by winning against Crystal Palace in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw.
Kepa said in his speech: "We had to take advantage of some opportunities that came our way in the first half. We played wonderfully. Then they changed their style of play a bit, and the second half became more competitive. Even in that situation, we had great chances. This is something we need to improve."
He added: "We conceded two goals in the final minutes of two matches, and this is something we need to improve and focus on."
Concluding on maintaining confidence during penalty shootouts, he said: "You have to stay calm and focus on the next kick. Don't lose your concentration, because once you save a penalty, it could be the decisive moment."
