Tuesday 23-12-2025
Inter Milan announced the injury of their French player Yvan Boney in his left ankle, which will cause him to miss the team's upcoming match against Atalanta on Sunday in the Italian league.

The club stated in an official statement: "After the injury during yesterday's training session, Yvan Boney underwent medical examinations this morning, which showed a slight sprain in the left knee, and his condition will be reassessed next week."

Boney is 22 years old and has scored five goals and provided six assists this season in 20 matches across all competitions. He is considered one of the team's key players in his first season since his transfer last summer from Parma for 23 million euros, with a contract extending until June 2030.

Reports indicated that the injury occurred during team training, and Boney is expected to return to the field in January 2026, although the recovery period has not yet been determined.

It is worth mentioning that the French striker has previously appeared twice for the France Under-21 national team but has not yet played for the senior national team. The club hopes for his speedy recovery to strengthen the team's attack in the second half of the season.
