Neymar Undergoes Knee Surgery
Tuesday 23-12-2025
The French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported that Brazilian forward Neymar traveled on Sunday to the city of Belo Horizonte to undergo surgery on his left knee, under the supervision of the Brazilian national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.

This comes as a treatment for the meniscus cartilage, which affected his participation in the recent matches of the Brazilian league.

Despite the pain, 33-year-old Neymar helped his original club Santos remain in the league, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist in the last 4 matches, leading the team to finish the season in twelfth place.

Neymar is scheduled to undergo a rest period after the surgery and will not be able to return to the field before the beginning of next February.

With his contract set to expire on December 31, the international player is expected to extend his contract with Santos for six months, allowing him to stay in a suitable environment that gives him the opportunity to participate in the World Cup with the Brazil national team under the leadership of Carlo Ancelotti.
