Al-Diriyah Club entered the negotiations strongly, aiming to sign Abdullah Al-Hamdan, the Al-Hilal striker, in a surprising move that intensified the ongoing battle over the player's future during the current period.

Dariyah, competing in the Yelo First Division League, is trying to take advantage of the stalled contract renewal negotiations between Al-Hamdan and Al-Hilal to strengthen its squad with a significant offensive signing.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the Diriyah management has recently intensified its efforts, taking advantage of the player's approaching free agency period in the upcoming January.

The ambitious club is seeking to sign Al-Hamdan on a free transfer, relying on its legal right to negotiate with the player after Al-Hilal has so far failed to finalize the renewal.

Al-Diriyah began its official moves following the halt of negotiations between Al-Hilal and Al-Hamdan, due to financial disagreements that prevented reaching a final agreement between the two parties.

Al-Diriyah is competing with Al-Nassr Club for the services of the striker, especially after Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus approved his signing to strengthen the forward line of the Al-Nassr team.

It is noted that Al-Hamdan joined Al-Hilal in 2021, coming from Al-Shabab, with a contract lasting five seasons. He receives a monthly salary of 150,000 riyals, in addition to an annual advance of up to 3.45 million riyals.
