Jesus Decides Pinto's Fate and Calls for Reinforcement of Al-Nassr with a Midfielder and Young Striker
Saturday 20-12-2025
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Nassr Club, informed the club's management of his final decision regarding the future of Brazilian goalkeeper Pinto Matheus, coinciding with the upcoming opening of the winter transfer window next January.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Jesus submitted a technical report to Al-Nassr's management in which he recommended loaning or selling goalkeeper Pinto's contract, as part of a move to restructure the foreign players' roster to better meet the team's technical needs.

The Portuguese coach called for the necessity of recruiting a foreign player in the central midfield position, to be registered in the team's foreign players list instead of Pinto, in order to strengthen the balance in the midfield during the upcoming phase of the season.

The newspaper also pointed out that Jesus emphasized the importance of signing a homegrown striker who qualifies as an under-21 player, to strengthen the frontline and provide the team with additional attacking options without affecting the foreign player quota.

It is noted that Pinto joined Al-Nassr in the summer of 2024, coming from the Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense. This season, he has participated in 9 matches across various competitions, including one match in the Saudi Roshn League, during which he conceded 6 goals and managed to keep a clean sheet in 5 games.
