Al-Ettifaq Nears Replacement of Ahmed Koka by January
Tuesday 23-12-2025
Egyptian striker Ahmed Hassan Koka, who plays for the Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, is nearing the end of his stint with the team as the winter transfer window approaches at the beginning of next January.

According to press reports, Al-Ettifaq Club management is planning to register a new foreign player to replace Koka, once the required official procedures to complete this step are finalized.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" explained that Al-Ettifaq officials are studying several files of foreign strikers in order to choose the most suitable name to replace the Egyptian striker during the upcoming transfer window.

The implementation of this approach is linked to Al-Ettifaq Club obtaining the financial qualification certificate, expected to be issued on December 25th, which is a fundamental requirement for completing the contracts.

It is not preferable to agree to keep Koka, due to his failure to perform at the expected technical level, as well as the approaching end of his contract and the return of the French striker Moussa Dembélé after recovering from injury.

Sources indicate that successfully signing a new foreign player could open the door to signing a young striker born in 2004, as part of a future technical plan to restructure the attacking line.
