Barcelona Plans to Sign a Young Belgian Talent
Friday 19-12-2025
FC Barcelona continues its moves in the young talent market, working to sign Belgian left winger Jesse Bissouma, a reserve team player for Club Brugge, as part of the club’s plan to strengthen the second team with the possibility of gradually promoting him to the first team.

The Spanish newspaper "Sport" mentioned that Besio is among the names attracting the attention of Barcelona's sports management, following the impressive performances he delivered during his participation in the Under-17 World Cup held in Qatar, which caught the eyes of the club's scouts.

According to the newspaper, Barcelona's management held a meeting with the player and his representatives to discuss the possibility of his transfer. He is expected to start his journey with Barcelona's reserve team, gradually being integrated into the first team's environment. Busio is known for his great speed and his ability to play effectively on the left flank.

The newspaper pointed out that the player has not yet made his final decision, while Club Brugge is striving to keep him, despite being aware of the difficulty due to Barcelona's interest. Bissou is under contract until 2027, which means the deal will require a financial payment, with an estimated value of around 800,000 euros.

The report clarified that the deal was originally intended for the summer transfer window, but Barcelona's current need to strengthen the winger position may prompt them to try to accelerate negotiations to complete the signing in January, especially since the player will turn eighteen at the beginning of that month, which legally allows the deal to be finalized—possibly through a loan with an option to buy, in agreement with the Belgian club.
