Vasco da Gama will face Corinthians in the two-legged final of the 2025 Brazil Cup on Wednesday and Saturday, with former French midfielder Dimitri Payet aiming to win the first major title of his professional career.

Vasco da Gama qualified for the final after defeating Fluminense in a penalty shootout last Sunday. Although Payet (38 years old) left the club by mutual agreement last May, he participated in two matches during the team's cup run this season, officially qualifying him to receive the medal and the title if Vasco da Gama wins.

The first leg of the final will be held at "Neukemika Arena" on Wednesday, December 17, while the second leg will take place at "São Januário" Stadium on Sunday, December 21.

It is worth noting that Payet played for several French clubs, with his most significant experience being with Olympique Marseille. He also played in the English Premier League for West Ham United and represented the French national team in 38 matches, scoring 8 goals.
