Al Wehda Turns the Scene and Enlists Cviko to Revive the Dream of Return
Al Wehda Club officially announced the signing of Belgian coach Rosmir Cviko to lead the first football team, replacing Chilean José Sierra, following the decline in results in the Yelo First Division League.
The club welcomed the new coach through its official account on the "X" platform, sending a special welcome message that said: "Rosmir Wahdawi.. welcome to the stronghold of the knights."
The contract confirmed what Al-Riyadiyah reported at the beginning of December, as Al-Wehda's management reached an agreement with Sefko to take on the coaching role until the end of the current season.
The unit represents the second Saudi experience for the 53-year-old Belgian coach, who previously led Al-Orouba to promotion to the Roshn League in the 2023-2024 season.
Under Sfiko's supervision, Al-Arabi achieved remarkable results, earning 64 points from 20 wins and 4 draws against 11 losses, securing second place behind the leaders, Al-Qadsia.
The Belgian coach has a diverse coaching background, having worked in European, African, and Asian clubs, including Morocco's Raja Casablanca and Algeria's CS Constantine.
Sfeir's record is filled with several notable achievements, the most prominent being his triumph with Al-Arabi Kuwait in winning the Crown Prince Cup in 2023, which boosts Al-Wahda fans' hopes of quickly getting back on track.
