The management of Al-Ahli Saudi Club has taken serious steps to contract a local goalkeeper, as part of its plans to strengthen the team during the current summer transfer window in preparation for the new season.

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Youm, Al-Ahli is considering three names: Ahmed Al-Ruhaili, goalkeeper of Al-Ettifaq, Marwan Al-Haidari, goalkeeper of Al-Khaleej, and Ahmed Al-Rashidi, goalkeeper of Al-Wehda, to choose the most suitable to protect the team's goal.

Sources revealed that Al-Ahli has entered into negotiations with Al-Ettifaq's management to acquire Ahmed Al-Ruhaili, with the deal including the transfer of Abdullah Abdu to the ranks of Al-Dhahran Knight as part of the exchange agreement between the two clubs.

This move comes after Al-Ahli has made several notable signings in the current transfer market, including Abdul Ilah Al-Khaibri, Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, and player Enzo Milot.

Al-Ahli is preparing to face Al-Qadisiyah in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup, scheduled to take place on August 20 in Hong Kong, amid great ambitions to win the title.
