Al-Nassr surprises its fans with the return date of Sami Al-Najei
Saudi club Al-Nassr is close to regaining their player Sami Al-Najei, who has been sidelined for nearly an entire year due to a torn cruciate ligament injury, amid great anticipation from the fans for his return.
Al-Yaum newspaper in Saudi Arabia revealed that Al-Najei will return to the artistic scene in 13 days, as the player has reached the final stage of his rehabilitation program before officially joining the group training sessions.
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, head of Al-Nassr club, is awaiting the player's participation in training sessions to then determine his readiness to take part in upcoming matches, based on technical and medical evaluations.
The Al-Nassr team is currently continuing its training camp in Abu Dhabi, preparing for the resumption of the league competitions following the international break during which the Saudi national team participated in the Arab Cup.
The coaching and medical teams hope that the current training camp period will help create the right conditions for Al-Najei's gradual return, without risking his safety or rushing his official participation.
Al-Nassr will face its Emirati counterpart Al-Wahda tomorrow in an important friendly match, as part of a series of preparations the team is undertaking to ensure full readiness following the conclusion of the Green Falcons' journey in the Arab Cup held in Qatar.
