Roma Monitors Raspadori's Future at Atlético Madrid
Thursday 04-12-2025
The website "Fichajes" revealed that Italian club Roma is closely monitoring Italian striker Giacomo Raspadori along with Atlético Madrid, as his role in the Spanish team has diminished since his transfer last summer.

Raspadori transferred to Atlético Madrid from Napoli for 22 million euros, plus 4 million in variables, on a contract lasting until 2030. However, the player has participated in 11 out of 20 matches this season and has only started in three games, with a low average of 26.5 minutes per match, raising questions about his future with the team.

According to reports, Roma is seeking to acquire Raspadori on loan with an option to buy for 20-22 million euros. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini considers the player well-suited to his flexible attacking style, capable of playing in multiple forward positions, whether as a central striker, on the wings, or as a second striker.

From Atlético Madrid's perspective, Raspadori's departure represents an opportunity to reduce wages and provide more attacking options, while his move to Roma could allow him to regain confidence, secure more playing time, and be in an environment closer to his level and culture.

The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining the player's future, whether by staying with Atlético Madrid and increasing his playing opportunities, moving on loan with an option to buy, or even completing a permanent transfer deal.
