New Clause Brings Harry Kane Back into Barcelona's Focus
Friday 05-12-2025
The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo revealed that Harry Kane, Bayern Munich striker and one of the prominent names proposed to reinforce Barcelona's attack next season, has a special release clause allowing his departure until the end of January each year. This comes at a time when Barcelona is searching for a top-class striker to replace Robert Lewandowski, whose contract ends at the close of the season.

According to the newspaper, Kane, 32 years old, has a contract with Bayern until 2027 but has not yet started renewal negotiations with the Bavarian club. The release clause is estimated at around 65 million euros, a reasonable figure compared to the prices of top strikers in the market.

Uli Hoeneß, Bayern Munich president, confirmed in his statements that the release clause can also be activated in the upcoming winter transfer window, pointing out the club's desire for Kane to stay for more years. Hoeneß said that the player and his family feel very comfortable in Munich and confirmed that the club plans to renew his contract.

The newspaper added that Kane recently stated he is happy in Munich and rules out leaving next season. However, he also admitted that no talks have started yet to renew his contract, keeping his future open to different possibilities.

Barcelona is waiting to see what the coming months will reveal, as Kane continues to deliver high scoring rates that keep his name among the top options proposed to lead the team's attack next season.
