Omar Khribin, the star of the Syrian national team, commented on the goal he scored against Tunisia today, Monday, in the Arab Cup.

The Syrian national team defeated the Tunisian national team 1-0 in the first round of the group stage of the Arab Cup.

Omar Khribin said in statements to Dubai Sports Channel after the match: "It was an important victory, and we needed it. The players of the Syrian national team are young, and they needed to experience this positive atmosphere so they can learn how to handle upcoming matches."

He added: "We must know that there are two matches remaining in that group. We have only won 3 points so far, and we have not yet secured qualification. God willing, the joy will be doubled with a victory over Qatar in the next round."

He commented on his goal against Tunisia, saying: "The human wall of the Tunisian team was slightly leaning towards the center of the goal."

Omar Khribin concluded his statements by saying: "I found that the corner in front of the goalkeeper was open. It was a difficult decision to shoot towards the goalkeeper's corner, but I made the decision to shoot there, and thankfully, we scored the goal."
