13 Different Coaching Schools Compete in the Arab Cup Qatar 2025

The 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, held from December 1 to 18 on the 2022 World Cup stadiums, features 16 national teams led by 13 coaches from various coaching backgrounds.

Six national teams rely on local coaches, while ten foreign coaches oversee the participating teams, including the Moroccan Jamal Salami with the Jordanian national team, reflecting the diversity of expertise in the tournament.

The experienced local coaches leading the teams are Helmy Toulan for Egypt, Fouzi Lekjaa for Morocco, Madjid Bougherra for Algeria, Sami Trabelsi for Tunisia, Ihab Abu Jazar for Palestine, and Hamada Gambai for the Comoros Islands.

Among the most prominent foreign coaches are the Spaniard Julen Lopetegui with Qatar, the Frenchman Hervé Renard with Saudi Arabia, as well as the Australian Graham Arnold with Iraq and the Croatian Dragan Talajić with Bahrain.

The Spanish coach José Lana leads the Syrian national team, the Portuguese Helio Sousa coaches the Kuwaiti national team, the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz manages the Omani national team, the Romanian Cosmin Olăroiu heads the UAE national team, and the Ghanaian Kwasi Appiah leads the Sudanese national team.

This diverse lineup of coaches showcases a blend of international and local expertise, enhancing the level of competition and making the Arab Cup Qatar 2025 an important milestone for both coaches and national teams alike.
