A positive 1-1 draw settled the match between Chelsea and their guest Arsenal in the thirteenth round of the English Premier League, at Stamford Bridge stadium.

Arsenal raised their tally to 30 points at the top of the overall standings, five points ahead of Manchester City, while Chelsea increased their points to 24 in third place.

Chelsea played with ten men after Caicedo was sent off in the 38th minute following a challenge on Mikel Merino, then Trevoh Chalobah scored the opening goal for the Blues in the 48th minute with a header from a corner kick.

In the 59th minute, Arsenal scored the equalizer through Mikel Merino after a cross from Saka, which Merino skillfully headed into the net.

Arsenal nearly snatched the winning goal with a low shot from Mikel Merino inside the penalty area, but goalkeeper Sanchez brilliantly saved it twice in the 89th minute.
