The German Matthias Jaissle, head coach of the Saudi club Al-Ahli, refused to blame his players despite their struggles during the thrilling match against Al-Qadsiah, which ended with the Jeddah team qualifying for the semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup after a 3-3 draw in both regular and extra time, followed by a penalty shootout.

The match witnessed numerous twists, most notably Al-Ahly falling behind three goals to one in the first half before the team made a strong comeback in the second half.

Jaissle emphasized in his post-match statements that Al-Ahli players delivered a tough and exhausting game both physically and mentally. He explained that the team did not perform at the desired level in the first half but came back strongly in the second half thanks to the players' determination and the support of the large crowd that attended at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

The German coach pointed out that the team relies on a clear style of play that has yielded positive results in several matches. However, he acknowledged that there are some instances where certain players do not adhere to the required tactics. At the same time, he emphasized that he refuses to blame any player and that Al-Ahli operates as a united group in both victory and defeat.

Jaissle concluded his speech by emphasizing that football is decided by small details, and that the most important thing for him and the players is to secure the ticket to the semifinals. He considered the way the team came back in the match as a reflection of Al-Ahli's character and its ability to compete until the very last moment.
