Al-Zawraa team managed to secure a tough and valuable victory against their guest team Norooz with a score of 2-1, within the seventh round of the Iraq Stars League, in a match that witnessed many fluctuations and excitement at Al-Zawraa Stadium.

The first half started with a relatively weak level from both teams, characterized by slow performance and inability to create real danger on the goals, with limited attempts that did not result in any goals, ending the first half in a goalless draw.

At the start of the second half, it became clear that Al-Zawraa was seeking to break the tie and take advantage of the available opportunities, and in the 63rd minute, Al-Zawraa earned a penalty which Hassan Abdulkarim successfully converted to give his team the lead, igniting the enthusiasm of Al-Zawraa players on the field.

But only a few minutes later, Norooz managed to respond quickly and scored the equalizing goal through Rawa Youssef in the 66th minute, bringing the match back to square one and creating a state of tension and excitement among players and fans.

After the goal, Al-Zawraa controlled the course of the game thanks to intense pressure and good organization in midfield, until Hassan Abdulkarim scored his and his team's second goal in the 74th minute, confirming his team’s return to the lead and bringing them closer to securing the win.

With this victory, Al-Zawraa's points rose to 11 in seventh place, while Norooz's points remained at three in 18th place, as the latter team continued its consecutive losses which reached six matches.
