Spanish coach Michel Gonzalez ruled out Al-Qadsiah team's stay in Jeddah after their match against Al-Ahli, confirming that returning to Al-Khobar and then traveling again would not burden the players.

Gonzalez pointed out that the team will face Al-Ahli twice consecutively, the first in the league on Friday, and the second in the King’s Cup quarter-final in a knockout format, stressing the importance of focusing in both matches.

The coach explained that facing Al-Ahli will not be easy, especially after the opposing team’s recent success in winning the Asian Elite Championship and the Saudi Super Cup, confirming that Al-Qadsiah had previously won against Al-Ahli in one of their last three encounters.

Gonzalez confirmed that putting pressure on Al-Ahli players, narrowing spaces, and working collectively will be key to achieving a positive result, with the goal of securing two consecutive victories before focusing on other competitions.

He added that the recent break for the international players did not only affect his team but also Al-Ahli, expecting the return of all international players after the national team matches conclude.

Regarding the key players, the coach highlighted the importance of Belgian goalkeeper Castillies, and the training attendance of players Yasser Al-Shahrani, Musab Al-Juwair, and Jihad Dhakri, emphasizing the team’s readiness for a decisive and tough confrontation against Al-Ahli.
