Jesus Opens the Door for Wesley's Departure
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, head coach of Saudi club Al-Nassr, has taken a clear position regarding the future of Brazilian player Wesley Gasova, as he officially agreed to the player's departure during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat," Jesus informed Al-Nassr's management of the necessity to market the player in January, as a prelude to signing a new foreign player who meets the team's technical needs in the second half of the season.
The newspaper clarified that Wesley is attracting interest from several clubs, most notably Brazilian clubs, but the closest destination appears to be European, with Sporting Lisbon topping the list of interested parties.
On the other hand, Al-Nassr's management set the minimum amount at 15 million euros to approve the player's sale, despite his contract with the club extending until 2028, in a step aimed at ensuring the best financial return and reinvesting the deal in a new, more influential player.
The management of Al-Alami, in coordination with Jesus, seeks to make qualitative adjustments to the foreign players' list during the winter market, to ensure continued competition in all championships this season.
