The media personality Ahmed Shobeir commented on the outstanding performance of his son, Mostafa, in the penalty shootout during the match between the Egyptian national team and Cape Verde this evening as part of the Al Ain Friendly Cup in the UAE.

Shobeir replaced Mohamed El-Shenawy in the last minute of the match to participate in the penalty shootout, which led to El-Shenawy objecting to the decision made by the national team's coach, Hossam Hassan.

Mostafa Shobeir saved two penalty kicks, while Cape Verde players missed two, resulting in the Pharaohs winning the match 2-0 in the penalty shootout.

Ahmed Shobeir wrote on Facebook: "Thank God. 4 penalty kicks, 0 goals. Mostafa Shobeir didn't concede any goals during the penalty shootout against Cape Verde."
