The management of Al-Hilal Saudi Club, headed by Prince Nawaf bin Saad, has reached a final agreement with Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves to renew his contract until 2028, following lengthy negotiations that lasted for weeks between both parties.

The renewal decision came at a critical time, as the player was on the verge of entering the free agency period in January, which would allow him to transfer to any club without needing to consult Al-Hilal. This prompted the management to act quickly to finalize the matter.

Neyvés joined Al-Hilal in June 2023 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, signing a contract that extended for three years. However, the management decided to extend his contract after the impressive performances he delivered.

During his time with the team, the Portuguese star played 103 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing 25 assists. He also received 23 yellow cards without being sent off in any match, reflecting his great discipline on the field.
