Renard Excludes Al-Hilal Player and Calls Up Kadesh and Al-Shahrani for Jeddah Camp

French coach Hervé Renard has excluded Al-Hilal's left-back Muteb Al-Harbi from the Saudi national team's training camp, which is taking place in Jeddah until November 18, after he sustained an injury during his team's match against Al-Najma last Friday.

The Saudi national team announced through its official account on the "X" platform that the coaching staff has decided to call up the duo Hassan Kadesh, a player from Al-Ittihad, and Yasser Al-Shahrani, a defender from Al-Qadisiyah, to compensate for the absence of Al-Harbi, who will undergo a rehabilitation and treatment program in the coming days.

This amendment comes as part of the Saudi national team's preparations for two friendly matches against Ivory Coast and Algeria on November 14 and 18, as part of the preparatory phase before the Arab Cup tournament scheduled to take place in Doha at the end of December.

Renard continues to prepare the national team members through the training camp in Jeddah, which aims to enhance the players' technical and physical readiness, as well as to test some new names before entering official competitions.

Muteb Al-Harbi is considered one of the standout players in the left-back position this season, having excelled significantly with Al-Hilal before an injury temporarily sidelined him from representing the national team.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi national team has secured its qualification for the 2026 World Cup after winning against Indonesia with a score of three goals to two, and drawing 0-0 with Iraq in the Asian playoff, allowing them to continue their journey confidently towards the upcoming challenges.
