Mario Silva Satisfied with Al-Najma's Performance Despite Loss
Mario Silva, the coach of Al-Najma team, expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players despite the loss to Al-Hilal with a score of 4-2 in the match that took place between the two teams last night, Friday.
Silva said in the press conference after the match: "Today was a tough game, and we made some tactical changes due to the availability of players, unlike before. Therefore, we played with a defensive setup against Al-Hilal, which is considered one of the best teams in the league."
He added, "We scored, then the opponent equalized, and despite that, we scored a second goal. After that, we received another red card, and against Al-Hilal, that will be very difficult."
Silva commented on his team's recent situation: "It has been a very tough week for all of us. After news about my departure from the club surfaced, I am a coach but I accept everything. I can't talk about my future; perhaps the club will change the coach, and that's football."
Regarding his future with the club, Silva said: "As of now, I don't know if I will continue with the team after the break or not. No one has informed me of any decision, and even the players don't know who will coach them. However, the players of Al-Najma and their fans will always remember that I led the team to the Roshen League after a 23-year absence."
Regarding the expulsions, he clarified: "I did not see the expulsions, but for Lazaro, I believe it was a yellow card. However, the referee went to the video and gave him a red card, and I think it was a foolish play. We were doing well, and Joad's expulsion was for a play that was far away, and I can't judge it."
