Egyptian media reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Algerian international defender Zinedine Belaid, the star of JS Kabylie, who has become a target for Al-Ahly as a potential signing during the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to the reports, Al-Ahly's management has reopened the file for signing Belaid to strengthen their defense line in January, given the team's need for a solid player with continental experience.

The same source added that the Algerian defender has returned strongly to the considerations of the officials at the Red Castle, after being a candidate in previous periods to join the team without the negotiations being successful.

It is worth noting that Zinedine Belaid is under contract with JS Kabylie until the summer of 2028, which makes the potential deal contingent on the approval of the Algerian club's management and its financial conditions.
