The newspaper "Al-Masry Al-Youm" revealed the desire of Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the coach of Zamalek, to prepare Ahmed Sherif, the star of the team, to participate in the Egyptian Super Cup.
The newspaper stated that Abdel Raouf requested the medical staff to expedite the player's preparation so that he could join the match against Pyramids, especially given the shortage the team is facing in the attacking line.
Ahmed Sherif suffered an injury to the adductor muscle during the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation Cup against the Somali team, Dikadaha.
Zamalek will face Pyramids next Thursday in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup, which will be held in the UAE.
Alongside Zamalek and Pyramids, Al Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra will also participate in the tournament.
