Al-Hilal Resolves Neves' Fate and Approaches Official Extension Announcement
The management of Saudi club Al-Hilal has finalized all details regarding the renewal of the contract for Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, whose current contract was about to expire at the end of the current season.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Youm" confirmed that Al-Hilal's management has reached a final agreement with Neves to extend his contract for an additional two seasons, after negotiations that saw a swift alignment between the two parties regarding financial terms and technical clauses.
The club is expected to announce the deal officially through its media channels in the coming days, in a move aimed at maintaining the stability of the starting lineup relied upon by Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.
Neves joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of approximately 57 million euros, with a contract that extended for three seasons at that time.
The decision to extend comes after the outstanding performances the player has delivered during the past period, as he has become one of the key elements in the team's midfield and an important pillar in Inzaghi's tactical system.
It is noteworthy that Al-Hilal recently succeeded in renewing the contracts of Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and Serbian Sergej Milinković-Savić, and is currently preparing to face Al-Akhidood in the Round of 16 of the King Abdulaziz Cup.
