Mouloudia Algiers returned with a valuable draw from Cameroonian territory after a tough encounter against their host Colombe Sportif, in a match that took place on Sunday evening at the "Ahmadou Ahidjo" Stadium in Yaoundé, as part of the first leg of the second preliminary round of the African Champions League.

The first half ended with the Cameroonian team leading by a single goal, taking advantage of some defensive errors from the Algerian representative, who struggled to build attacks during the early minutes of the match.

As the match seemed to be heading towards a victory for the home team, defender Ayoub Ghazala managed to equalize in the 86th minute, after successfully following up on a cross, gifting his team a precious draw that keeps their hopes alive for qualification to the group stage.

The return match will take place next Sunday at the "Ali Labouhant" Stadium in Douira, amidst the absence of fans due to the continental ban imposed on the club, as the "Doyen" aims to secure a win that qualifies them for the group stage for the second consecutive season.
