The Algerian national team, the champion of the previous edition of the Arab Cup – FIFA, is preparing to face its Egyptian counterpart in two friendly matches during the international break from November 10 to 18.

These two encounters are part of the preparations of both teams for the Arab Cup tournament scheduled to take place in Qatar from December 1 to 18, where each side aims to test the readiness of its players before the official competitions begin.

The Algerian national team will participate in the upcoming tournament within Group D, alongside the Iraqi team, awaiting the winner of the match between Bahrain and Djibouti, as well as Lebanon or Sudan, who will meet in the qualifiers on November 25 and 26.

The friendly matches against Egypt are expected to provide an ideal opportunity for the coaching staff led by Majid Bougherra to assess the readiness of local players and test game plans before defending the title they won in the 2021 edition.
