Barcelona Enters the Race to Sign Juventus Talent
Thursday 16-10-2025
Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed that FC Barcelona has joined the list of clubs interested in signing young Turkish star Kenan Yildiz, a Juventus striker, alongside Arsenal and Chelsea, with the latter currently being the closest to making a serious move to acquire the player.

Yildiz, who is 20 years old, is considered one of the most promising talents in Europe, wearing the number 10 jersey at Juventus, which has been worn by legends like Zidane. The newspaper indicated that the player is one of the team's standout stars both technically and in the media, despite ranking ninth in the salary hierarchy, earning only about 1.7 million euros annually.

Yildiz's contract with Juventus extends until 2030, but the club's management is looking to improve his current salary due to his exceptional performance, while the same source noted that the player is not demanding a huge salary like his teammate Dusan Vlahovic, who earns 12 million euros annually, but he aspires to reach around 6 million euros like striker Jonathan David.

The newspaper added that Barcelona is counting on the appeal of its jersey, famously worn by Lionel Messi, to convince the player to transfer, while Arsenal prepares to make a move, and Chelsea continues to apply pressure after Juventus rejected a previous offer of 67 million euros.

According to the report, Chelsea is preparing a huge offer for the player, prompting Juventus to rush to renew his contract and possibly raise his salary to 10 million euros annually, given his recent brilliance in scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists in 12 matches, in addition to 3 goals with the Turkish national team in the last two matches.

The current market value of Kenan Yildiz is estimated at around 75 million euros, according to 'Transfermarkt', while 'Mundo Deportivo' noted that Barcelona had been monitoring the player since his time in Bayern Munich's academy before his transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2022.
