Egyptian press sources have indicated that Al Ahly club has approved the request of Hussein El-Shahat, the team's winger, to finalize the renewal of his contract.

According to what was reported by the "Stad Al-Mahwar" program, the Al Ahly management expressed their approval to renew El-Shahat's contract for two seasons instead of one, according to the player's desire.

The program pointed out that the Al Ahly management had initially planned to renew El-Shahat's contract for one season, but the player insisted on staying for two years to ensure stability, which the club agreed to.

The program confirmed that the discussions between Al Ahly and El-Shahat are progressing positively, and it is expected that the matter will be finalized in the coming days, given the desire for the player to continue due to his influential role in major matches.

It is worth noting that Al Ahly's management began serious discussions with El-Shahat after he led the team to victory over Zamalek 2-1 in the Egyptian league summit.
