The website "Foot Mercato" reported that the French club Monaco has reached an agreement with Belgian coach Sebastian Bouconnioli to take over the first team, replacing coach Adi Hütter.

The site clarified that Monaco's management made the decision to sign Bouconnioli, who is 38 years old, after negotiations that included several prominent names such as Edin Terzić, Thiago Motta, and Sergio Conceição, before settling on the Belgian coach who caught attention with Union Saint-Gilloise.

Bouconnioli led his previous team to win the Belgian league title and the Super Cup, while currently topping the local league table after ten rounds.

According to the same source, former player Kevin Mirallas will join his coaching staff to work as a striker coach, benefiting from his experience in the French league with Lille and Saint-Étienne.

The report indicated that Monaco will pay a compensation of one million euros to Union Saint-Gilloise to terminate Bouconnioli's contract, which was set to run until 2026, in a move aimed at starting a new phase for the team in the French league.
