Arsenal Rewards David Raya with Salary Increase
Tuesday 07-10-2025
The British network "BBC" reported that Arsenal has decided to reward its Spanish goalkeeper David Raya with a new improved contract, confirming his status as one of the key players in coach Mikel Arteta's team.

According to the report, Raya has finalized an agreement on a contract that includes an increase in his weekly salary compared to the contract he signed when he joined the club permanently in the summer of 2024, while the duration of the contract remains unchanged until 2028, with an option for extension.

The network clarified that the agreement was reached last summer, but it has not yet been officially announced by the club's management, and Raya was earning about £100,000 per week before receiving an increase under the new agreement.

Since joining Arsenal from Brentford on loan in the summer of 2023, then on a permanent deal, Raya has become one of the standout goalkeepers in the Premier League, having won the Golden Glove award in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons, sharing the award last season with Nottingham Forest's goalkeeper Mats Sels.

The same source indicated that Arsenal has begun talks to renew contracts for several of its stars, including Timber and Bukayo Saka.

Raya is considered one of the most stable players in Arsenal's lineup, having participated in all league matches since March 2024, keeping a clean sheet in 33 matches, with a save percentage of 71%, which is among the highest in the Premier League.
