Monaco Approaches the Dismissal of Adi Hütter and Identifies His Replacement
Monday 06-10-2025
French newspaper "L'Équipe" revealed that AS Monaco is preparing to dismiss its Austrian coach Adi Hütter following the 2-2 draw against Nice in Ligue 1, due to a decline in results and a deterioration in the relationship between the coach and the dressing room in recent weeks.

According to the newspaper, Monaco's management has already begun taking steps to choose a replacement for Hütter, despite renewing his contract until 2027 last January. The management is considering several names, but Edin Terzić, the former coach of Borussia Dortmund, is the most prominent candidate for the job.

L'Équipe pointed out that Terzić has support within the club's management, especially after leading Dortmund to the 2024 UEFA Champions League final following the elimination of Paris Saint-Germain, in addition to finishing the previous season as the runner-up in the Bundesliga.

The newspaper confirmed that Monaco is looking for a coach with European experience who can develop young players and lead the team to compete for the top positions in Ligue 1.
