Vladimir Petkovic, the coach of the Algerian national team, confirmed that the upcoming matches against Somalia and Uganda will be extremely difficult and important, emphasizing the need for complete mental and physical preparation to ensure positive results.

Petkovic explained in a press conference held today, Thursday, that all teams bring their best when facing the "Greens," adding: "Somalia has shown a different level in the last two matches and was close to achieving positive results."

He also pointed out that Uganda is considered the most prepared competitor in the group, reminding that they have not lost any points since their defeat against Algeria in Kampala, whether in the World Cup qualifiers or in the Africa Cup.

The coach concluded his statements by affirming that the Algerian team must show its character and strength starting from the match against Somalia, in order to confirm its right to be present in the finals of the 2026 World Cup.
