Thursday 02-10-2025
The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that the Barcelona team suffered another defeat in the final minutes against Paris Saint-Germain, after Gonzalo Ramos scored the winning goal in the 90th minute, ending the match with a score of 2-1 in favor of the French team, despite the Catalans' impressive performance in the first half.

Hans Flick, Barcelona's coach, pointed out after the match the need to learn from mistakes, stating: "With the score tied at 1-1, we need to defend better and learn and develop ourselves; the solution is training, and this match helps us a lot to reach the physical strength that Paris Saint-Germain has. We need to maintain our composure for the full ninety minutes, improve our defense, maintain possession, and exploit spaces."

Ramos' goal is the sixth that Barcelona has conceded in the final moments since Flick took charge of the team in the summer of 2024, following a series of similar matches:

January 23, 2024: Celta Vigo 2-2 Barcelona, goals by Alfonso Gonzalez and Hugo Alvarez in the 84th and 86th minutes.

December 7, 2024: Real Betis 2 - 2 Barcelona, goal by Assane Diallo in the 90+4 minute.

December 21, 2024: Barcelona 1 - 2 Atletico Madrid, goal by Alexander Sorloth in the 90+6 minute.

October 1, 2025: Barcelona 1 - 2 Paris Saint-Germain, goal by Gonzalo Ramos in the 90th minute during the second round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

On its part, the newspaper noted that the positive aspect for Barcelona in this defeat is that the match was in the second round of the group stage, giving the team a chance to correct mistakes and learn before continuing the season, especially after their success in achieving the domestic treble last season.
