Inzaghi: We Respect All Teams but Always Strive for Victory
Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Al-Hilal, confirmed that his goal is to compete for all local and continental titles this season.
Al-Hilal will face their Uzbek counterpart Nasaf tomorrow, Monday, in the second round of the AFC Champions League.
Inzaghi said in the pre-match press conference: "We are well aware of the strength of our opponent; I watched their first match in Jeddah against Al-Ahli, and they performed wonderfully. We respect all teams, but we always strive for victory."
He pointed out the injury of Uruguayan Darwin Nunez with knee pain, explaining that the coaching staff preferred to keep the player in his rehabilitation program to return stronger after the next international break.
Marcus Leonardo, the star of Al-Hilal, confirmed the strength of the opponent, saying: "Facing Nasaf will be different and difficult, especially on their home ground, but we are determined to achieve a positive result and continue our journey strongly."
