Juric: Regrets Losing Victory Against Juventus
Saturday 27-09-2025
Croatian Ivan Juric, the head coach of Atalanta, expressed his regret after his team drew with Juventus 1-1 in the match held at Allianz Stadium as part of the Italian league.

Juric said: "Juventus was better in the first 20 minutes and had several chances, but after we took the lead, we felt regret for not taking advantage of the opportunities to finish the match. We conceded a goal due to an individual mistake; however, I am very satisfied with the performance and the spirit of the players. Some young players performed wonderfully today, and if we had gotten the two points we deserved against Pisa, we would be in a better position in the table."

He added: "I saw players today like Onest Ahanor who shone and showed a great desire to learn. He has impressed me a lot over the past few months because he seeks to improve every detail, and this is a positive thing."

Juric also talked about Kamal Deen Sulemana, the scorer of Atalanta's only goal, confirming: "I found him in Southampton, and he was almost out of the team, so I can say that I discovered him. He still needs to improve in making the final decision, but he is a distinguished player and does a great job defensively, and he can always be relied upon in difficult tasks."

He continued discussing his coaching experience: "I have delivered good levels for years, but last season was tough in terms of results, even though it gave me important experiences in the English league and with Roma. I was put in difficult circumstances both times, but it made me stronger."
