Al-Akhudud Club has submitted an official protest regarding the participation of Brazilian Marcos Leonardo, a player from Al-Hilal, in the match between the two teams that took place in the Saudi league last Thursday.
Leonardo scored two goals in Al-Hilal's 3-1 victory over Al-Akhudud in the match hosted at the Kingdom Arena, as part of the fourth round of the Roshan Saudi League.
According to sources, Al-Akhudud Club has raised an official protest regarding the legality of Leonardo's participation with Al-Hilal in the league match between the two teams.
The sources indicated that Al-Hilal's management believes that Leonardo was registered legally as he was previously registered in the electronic system of the Saudi Football Federation, and the player's name was raised to be a substitute for the injured Portuguese João Cancelo.
