Eberechi Eze Talks About His First Goal in an Arsenal Shirt

Eberechi Eze spoke in a press statement after qualifying for the Round of 16 of the English League Cup with a 2-0 victory over Port Vale.

Eze, who scored his first goal in the Gunners' shirt, said: "It's a very special thing. I have always waited to score with the club, and the first goal is very special."

He added: "It's a very difficult place. It's important for us to score the first goal so we can move forward in the competition."

He concluded: "You have seen in the past few weeks what the players do when they come in as substitutes. This adds great depth to the team and gives us new energy, and that’s what we need."
